As time progresses, new media complement the educational and labor compositions, and technology is no exception. This resource not only modifies the work of both the teacher and the student, but also brings together different realities that the educational should promote through multicultural understanding. This reshapes the idea of being a teacher in times where encounters with other cultures and people from different regions become closer to just one click. Many of the misunderstanding seen in class was how teachers focused on projecting lifestyles of the western world, a place that is not familiar with our reality. Likewise, they prepare us to learn a language introduced in one culture. The reality is that the chances of interacting with someone who speaks English but is not from an English-speaking country are higher than interacting with native English speakers. This is a root of globalization, that is why within educational spaces there should not be a contrast or comparison of only two cultures but there should be a cross cultural competence, an openness in attitudes and a way of discovering other cultures interactively, an effort to include others to show diversity. This turns the class into a place of cultural awareness where one point of view reflects on others in different perspectives. The construction of knowledge, problem solving and reflecting on their experiences must be collaborative. All of this is shared through learning, which establishes in each one of us the responsibility to be present and autonomous about our education. As mentioned in the book, keeping a critical view on teaching is understanding contemporary sociocultural behavior.
