Contextualization:  It refers to taking into account the circumstances of an event or situation when analyzing something.



The analysis of discourse refers to all forms of communication.  These communicative acts basically represent the knowledge we have of the world. When we build or use language, there are factors such as our beliefs, assumptions, knowledge, and among other things that show who we are. The study of discourse tries to understand and explain what is behind the message and how we communicate, which not only integrates the superficial part that is the structure and organization but also deals with social, cultural and thought contexts that are related with society. Therefore, it has several approaches such as anthropology, sociology, philosophy and linguistics, that influences our forms of communication. Each approach has its complexities and in order to understand the full picture of what discourse is about, you have to study the characteristics that unfold in each approach.From then on, being critical is about analyzing those power relations that occur within these components, since by being part of a society we will always be conditioned or influenced by social forces that form absolute knowledge in each one.
